What are the prerequisites for a typical course at
SBC?
A Most programs require a Grade 12 average of 60%
(minimum) or GED12.

Do I have to have certain classes from Grade 12 to
be accepted?
A No. We look at your overall Grade 12 average. (Strong
English skills are essential).

Do I have to fill out an application to enroll in
a course?
A Each person applying for a program is required to
complete an application form and submit a $50 registration
fee. SBC also requires a copy of your Grade 12 marks.
Once you have been accepted into a program, Student
Loan forms will be made available.

How much homework can I expect?
A Minimum of one to two hours per night.

I'm having trouble …. Is help available?
A Students are welcome to meet with instructors after
class. If further help is required, tutors can be
arranged.

Does SBC have a dress code?
A No. Students are required to dress appropriately
during job search training.

Does SBC help me find employment?
A SBC has a full-time Graduate-Employer Liaison, helping
hundreds of graduates each year to find career-related
employment in a variety of offices. Many of these
positions are not advertised in the newspaper.

Is my diploma recognized?
A Saskatoon Business College is Saskatchewan's only
Nationally Accredited private vocational career college
(www.accreditations.ca).
Accreditation is a "yard stick" measurement of a school's
standards and stability. If you plan to move, your
skill set will be equivalent to other private colleges
across Canada.

When are student loan forms available?
A Student loan forms are available in early June for
any program starting after August 31 of each year.
Q
How long does a student loan take to process?
A Expect 4-6 weeks. Personal circumstances and accuracy
in completing Student Loan forms may slow down the
process.

How big are classes?
A Students at SBC can look forward to small class
sizes (max. 30 students) with teacher-led instruction.
