The Financial Services Assistant Course gave me the training I needed to cover all aspects of the financial industry from basic computer skills right up to accounting and economics.  The Saskatoon Business College also gave you the training to do successful interviews, and they even help you find a job.  Attending the Business College was an exceptional experience and I recommend it to anyone!

We have hired four SBC graduates of the Medical Administrative Assistant program over the past three years, and all have exceeded our expectations. We have found SBC graduates to have excellent skills, and each was able to get right to work in a busy office environment with minimal instruction. Computer skills, medical terminology and medical typing skills were very good. We have had nothing but rave reviews from our faculty and staff about the quality of work from our SBC graduates. Also, the work ethic of each of our SBC graduates has been above reproach.

For the past twenty years that our office has been in operation, we have used the placement services of the Saskatoon Business College Ltd. as our primary source for recruiting secretarial support staff. We have consistently been satisfied with the breadth of knowledge and quality of the graduates hired from the College. In addition, the assistance provided by the placement personnel at the College is a significant time-saving resource to our Human Resources Department.

We recently had the pleasure of hiring a Saskatoon Business College graduate. I am impressed by her level of enthusiasm and her eagerness to put her new skills and training to work. We will continue to use SBC in our recruitment for entry level positions.

Our hiring process has been simplified by being able to hire from Saskatoon Business College graduates. Your school has done an excellent job of matching a student with the position needed to be filled, thus saving us time by hiring the right individual the first time. We feel confident that your graduating students have the skills and knowledge required.

Saskatoon Business College has consistently provided our office with exceptional office staff whom we depend on to run our medical clinic. The college's commitment to excellence is clearly visible in each and every trainee. Whenever we have been in need of a new employee, our first telephone call is to Saskatoon Business College, who strive to not only effectively train their students, but to place them in appropriate positions. In the medical community, the college is the main source for recruitment.

It has been my great pleasure to have hired numerous graduates from the Saskatoon Business College over the past 25 years. We as an organization are delighted by the personal and professional character of its graduates. We are also very happy with the job placement, which exists between our organization and the Saskatoon Business College.

Our client list is made up of larger entities in both the private and public sectors. We use only top quality employees and world class contractors in our projects and our clients expect this level of expertise from us at all times.
SBC’s records program has turned out a stream of knowledgeable, intelligent and highly trained candidates for future employment in our company. The records and information management business has increased in importance over the last few years and conversely, the ongoing demand will outstrip the supply of trained employees.
We wish to thank SBC for their diligence and professionalism in the years that this program has been functioning for a consistent and skilled approach to this program and look forward to taking advantage of this pool of well trained students for some of our future staff growth.

My experience at the Saskatoon Business College was a good one. I thoroughly enjoyed taking the Medical Administrative Assistant program, and I greatly benefited from the school's academics and with its involvement and guidance in my job search.

I graduated from the Administrative Assistant Core program with honours from Saskatoon Business College. I found a job three days later at Sentinel Life Management.

SBC has prepared me for all types of job tasks at my work. The staff at SBC was very helpful during and after my schooling. Thank you.

Administrative Assistant with Honours

The training and course content was excellent. The instructors did a wonderful job at preparing us for the workforce. We did our final practicum at Sherbrooke Community Centre. I put my application in while doing my final practicum and was offered a job upon completion of my course. Things have been going really well for me and my family. Thank you very much!

My overall experience at SBC was nothing short of awesome. The instructors were helpful, the SRC activities were fun, and I made some really great friends. After coming straight from high school to college, June meant finally closing the books and using my new-found knowledge to make some money. SBC helped make the transition from school to the working world easy through its practical classes and job search assistance. What advise do I have for current students? It's only as good as you make it, and always be open to new opportunities.

I was employed immediately after graduation. Currently, I am employed by the Etomami Valley Regional Economic Development Authority as a Project Coordinator. I supervise the region of Hudson Bay to Preeceville and from Kelvington to Porcupine Plain. My position with REDA is to coordinate, facilitate, implement and direct all projects in the region. I would not have been able to attain this position without the skills that I learned from the Saskatoon Business College. I am an advocate for technical programs; therefore SBC is my absolute referral for anyone interested in pursuing a business career. Thanks SBC for always keeping in touch!

I graduated from the Information Technology Specialist program and decided to take the optional summer program, Information Technology Administrator. I applied for a great job opportunity before I had finished the summer session, got hired and was working my first day out of school, which was an amazing feeling. The teaching staff at the Information Technology program are very dedicated and committed to your needs as a student. Any time throughout the year they were willing to take time out for me to answer my questions, which was great because computers were something that I didn’t know a whole lot about before starting this course. Also, just knowing that my instructors were skilled professionals was a big plus, as it is difficult to find good education in the Information Technology field. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone with an interest in computers and networking. I really like the fact that I was out of school in only 12 months, while receiving an excellent education that was relevant to my occupation. The teaching staff and administration staff are extremely helpful in finding employment, which I have to credit for helping me find my job. Saskatoon Business College has prepared me in every way for my new career.

I began Saskatoon Business College's (SBC) Software Specialist program then decided to complete the Records Analyst specialty as well. I chose SBC because a friend who operates a computer consulting business in Saskatoon assured me SBC graduates were well trained. Saskatoon Business College had just liased with Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, which was offering a two-year diploma in Records Management (now Office and Records Administration) The credits I had earned at SBC were transferable, and the transition from one school to the other went very smoothly.

Upon returning to Saskatoon after graduation, I contacted SBC regarding job placement and was provided with several good job leads. Within eight weeks of completing NAIT's Record Management diploma, I was employed as an administrative assistant with the City of Saskatoon. This position led to my working as a records technician. Now, after two and half years, I am Corporate Records Manager for the City.

Both SBC and NAIT have contributed to my success by providing training that is relevant to employers' needs. I believe the extra year of education gives me a definite edge over other graduates. Not a day goes by when I do not use my advanced skills. The additional training has also had a significant impact on job satisfaction and salary. I encourage anyone interested in a more challenging position to consider NAIT's Office and Records Administration program.

"When a resume crosses my desk that mentions education received at Saskatoon Business College, it always goes to the top of the list for possible considerations. We have always found that SBC grads are much better prepared professionally in handling basic office procedures. SBC grads also seem to have a stronger work ethic. Another bonus is that SBC grads truly have achieved the grades they receive as I am aware that SBC have high standards and requirements."

"The ITA program was just what I was looking for. There is no other program like it in Saskatoon. The hands-on training provides real world skills that employers are looking for. I was able to enter the workforce knowing that the skills I learned at SBC were relevant in today's job market and in demand by employers."
